John Kowalski is a Math and Science teacher for the Plymouth Literacy Program and a Chemistry and Forensic Science teacher at Plymouth North High School.
John believes in the abilities of every student, and strives to help each student discover their strengths in math and science.
Prior to pursuing a career in education, John worked as a chemist and laboratory manager in the environmental, polymer, and pharmaceutical industries. He traveled North America as a technical consultant for a scientific instrument manufacturer and holds a patent in related technology.
John discovered that the most enjoyable aspect of his professional career was training personnel, and explaining the science and technology involved in the work. Teaching is a very rewarding experience for John and the entire staff at the Literacy program because of the personal relationships and the collective joy when students succeed!
John is a resident of Plymouth and a father of four girls. His interests include home improvement projects, tennis, and hip hop music.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Arts in Education from American International College.
