Prior to joining the Plymouth Literacy Program as a Skills Teacher in February 2022, Carolyn worked for 30+ years in the financial services industry, most recently as a senior executive in retirement services at Fidelity Investments and Great-West Financial/Empower Retirement.
During her corporate career, she had the opportunity to live and work in various parts of the country, including Boston, Massachusetts, Cincinnati, Ohio, Kansas City, Kansas, and Denver Colorado. Carolyn grew up in New Jersey and holds Bachelors degrees in Secondary Education and Accounting, and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and International Business, from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. She also completed a graduate certificate in Health Care Administration at Regis College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Since her retirement from the corporate sector, Carolyn has tutored ESL students through a literacy program offered by the Quincy, Massachusetts, public library. She is committed to helping students achieve their goals and become lifelong learners. Carolyn seeks to provide a comfortable environment in which individual learning styles are appreciated, thereby ensuring that Program participants can experience the transformative power of education.
Carolyn now resides in the Pinehills. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking on trails and the beach, watching movies (preferably, good dramas), traveling, trying out new cuisines, and spending time with family and friends.
