OUR WEBSITE HAS MOVED! Please visit https://plymouthpubliclibrary.org/volunteer-to-tutor/
We are so glad you are interested in learning more about volunteer tutoring with the Literacy Program at the Plymouth Public Library.
We serve adult students who are learning English (ESL/ELL). Our students range from complete beginners to those with more skills. We are always looking for volunteers who would like to help our students achieve their literacy goals and life dreams. Students come to us with a variety of goals from helping children with homework to better communication skills in their job to getting a driver’s license or passing their citizenship exam.
We also need tutors who can offer one on one support to students Math and Reading as they prepare for their High School Equivalency.
Volunteer tutors are matched with adult learners and then meet one on one at the Plymouth Public Library for about an hour once a week at a time that works for both parties.
Tutor training is available to any adult who has a high school diploma and who is interested in helping others. The training is offered in the spring and fall at the Plymouth Public Library.
